Dr. Angela Lee Foreman is the DWR's new president for the two-year term 2008-2010. She is a deaf biologist working in the capacity of Assistant Professor at RIT/NTID. Her primary responsibilities include teaching Biology to LST students at RIT's NTID, providing instruction support to biology classes at RIT's College of Science, and conducting biomedical research projects at RIT. Dr. Foreman received her PhD from University of California at Davis, School of Medicine. Her research projects focuses on molecular mechanisms in autoimmune disease of the liver using the human model. Also, Dr. Foreman looks forward to her term as DWR's President. She is quite excited to be here in Rochester and look forward meeting everyone here. Please do contact her if you have any concerns or questions. She is more than happy to help out if she can!

Kathleen Szczepanek is the Secretary/Recorder for the DWR. She is currently a faculty at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology teaching business courses to the deaf and hard-of-hearing business students. Prior to that, she was a staff assistant at NTID's Office of Vice President and an Admissions Counselor for NTID Admissions respectively. She enjoys traveling, an avid reader, fixing up her house, and is glad to be of service to the DWR.

Cynthia A. Rohlin was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She attended School #31, which is now School #1. She mainstreamed at Greece Arcadia High School and graduated from there. Then she went to Rochester Institute of Technology and majored in accounting. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. She married in 1979 and had two children Shawn and Tracy. She put her career on the back burner to stay home to raise her children. When her son started college she went back to work full time. She has worked in a number of jobs since then. She now works as an auditor for the Board of Education at Monroe BOCES 1. One of her most proudest achievements is passing the Certified Public Accountant exam. She became licensed in New York State in 1998. She has a tax practice at her home and helps hearing-impaired people with their tax return. She has served on the boards of many hearing-impaired organizations. She was treasurer of the Deaf Connection bowling league, treasurer of NTID Alumni Association, and treasurer of the Deaf Rochester News. She is the tax consultant for the Rochester Recreation Club for the Deaf. She brings Deaf Women of Rochester a wide variety of experiences.

Elissa Olsen is the DWR's By-laws Consultant. She is currently a faculty chairperson for the Informations and Computing Studies Department at the National Technical Institue for the Deaf at Rochester Institute of Technology. She is also very active in many deaf organization around Rochester
Barbara Stanislow, Consultant
Barbara Stanislow, Consultant
Barbara Stanislow has been a NJ native most of her life and moved to Rochester 9 years ago following her husband's teaching job at NTID/RIT. She sure misses the Jersey Shore! She is a part time stay home mom with two daughters. She works part time as a Customer Service Rep for Interpretek/Snap!VRS. That's the Ojo videophone. Her favorite hobby is scrapbooking and she is also a consultant for Creative Memories Scrapbooking Company. She likes to read only if she has time. Her family has an RV and they love to travel! The longest vacation they had was travelling across America for seven weeks. That was a memorable vacation. Stay connected with Deaf Women of Rochester. We need you ladies!
