Fall 2009 - Deaf Women of Rochester and their friends gather for their annual DWR Kick-off and catered dinner.

Every September, usually on the Friday after school starts, DWR holds a picnic to welcome back friends and members after a long summer.

Deaf women and friends get together to catch up on the news and to get ready for DWR events for the rest of the year. It is also the time for the annual general meeting, a presentation or two, and the announcement of Deaf Woman of the Year winner, based on members nominations.
